Below is the summary of our activities in the Lord in this month of March 2025.

ONE OF BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN'S INSTRUCTORS HAS GONE HOME:  

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Bro. Ebenezer Olugbenga Ojo, a devoted servant of God and esteemed instructor at BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan. After a brief illness, he has gone home to be with the Lord.  

Bro. Ojo was a man of great wisdom, kindness, and unwavering faith. His life was dedicated to serving both God and his community, particularly through the education of children from less privileged backgrounds. As an evangelist, he faithfully ministered to the **Lord’s Church in Jago Town, Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State.  

His journey of faith began in April 2015 when he was converted to the body of Christ through the Voice of Truth International booklet. Before embracing the truth, he had been a denominational pastor. Seeking a deeper understanding of God's Word, he pursued theological studies at Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria and Southwest School of Evangelism (BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan) from 2016 to 2019, earning both Diploma and Advanced Diploma certificates. At the time of his passing, he was also pursuing a BVBIN degree.  

Bro. Ojo’s deep knowledge of the Scriptures, coupled with his steadfast faith, made him a respected spiritual leader. His words of wisdom and guidance touched the lives of many.  

Born on May 25, 1960, he completed his earthly journey and received his final degree (RIP)on February 27, 2025. He is survived by his wife and three children.  

May the Lord grant his family the strength to bear this loss and fill them with His peace that surpasses all understanding .

  THIRD SEMESTER CLASSES COMMENCE: 

As scheduled, third-semester classes at BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN will begin on March 10, 2025. However, many students returned to campus as early as March 8 in accordance with the school directory.

Additionally, Bro. Folorunso Richard Oluwapelumi and Sister Esther Oyenuga will continue their roles as computer instructors.  

This semester will span only six weeks, as the second semester lasted ten weeks. 

WEEKEND EVANGELISM OUTREACH: 

On March 8, 2025,  the students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN launched their evangelism outreach, initially covering five locations.  By March 15, with the return of Year-2 students, the outreach expanded to twelve locations.  

Through God’s grace, their collective efforts led to:  

Seven baptisms

Five restorations  

These spiritual victories were recorded in the campus church, Butu-London, Butubutu Village, Ode -Ajagba Ondo State and Aparadija in Ogun State.

STUDENT PROFILE:

Bro. Oladipupo David Ayomikun was born on December 21, 2006, in Abuja. His father was from Osun State, while his mother hails from Kogi State. Sadly, he lost his father during his teenage years.  

Since 2020, he has been one of the eight students benefiting from the Gahana-Jefferson Church of Christ scholarship program. On August 4, 2021, while in Senior Secondary School, he embraced the Christian faith and was baptized.  

In 2023, immediately after completing his Senior Secondary School* examinations, he gained admission into the Ministerial Department of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN. His primary mission at the institution is to share the goodness of God,  particularly with children from underprivileged backgrounds. This stems from his own family’s experience—his mother converted from Jehovah’s Witnesses to the Lord’s Church in 2018, and through God's grace, he was awarded a scholarship for both his junior and secondary school education.  

Looking ahead, Bro. Oladipupo aspires to become a gospel preacher after completing his tertiary education.

Conclusion: We are deeply grateful for your partnership and support for the evangelization of both urban and rural communities of African Countries most especially in Nigeria.

May the Lord continue to bless all our work together in Christ Jesus name, and.

School in Abia State, Nigeria, Continues to Operate Well

REPORT OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND THEOLOGICAL STUDIES/ BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE – NIGERIA

INTRODUCTION

It is another opportunity for us to take statistics of the business of the month. We are grateful to all our sponsors and facilitators. May the good Lord bless the Bear Valley family for the reawakening that is happening across Nigeria and beyond. The churches of Christ, through the work of the Bear Valley family, have brought study centers close to many brethren. In fact, more centers are opening by the day. May the good Lord bless the work in our hands, in Christ’s name, amen.

CLASSES AND VACATION

Classes started early in the month of February and officially stopped on the 25th of February. Revision began on the 3rd through 7th of March. The examination started on Monday the 10th and spanned through the 19th of March and the school vacated on the same 19th of March. The school will be on resume activities on the 12th of April.

LIBRARY

On the 19th and 20th of March, the students helped to evacuate the old computer room. There, a temporary Library was set up. They were guided through the use of the digital library the school received from Chad Wagner, and they were so excited. The school encouraged them to get laptops for themselves upon their return from the holiday. It is not going to be business as usual. To this point, we can comfortably say that we are ready for another busy academic semester that will span from April to July 2025. This would be the second and last semester for the year two students.

EVANGELISM

The school had encouraged the students to keep up with their evangelism work at their home congregations as the need arises. We hope to receive their report on their return. So far so good.

SECURITY/FENCING

There are no new challenges. It remains to say that efforts are being made to sort things out with the community to enable the school to go on with fencing the place. One bottleneck still remains the status of the Land agreement. Both parties agreed to take a date for further deliberations. The school continues to ask for prayers to enable the matter to get resolved amicably in her subsequent meeting.

Conclusion

We are grateful to God for another successful end of month. It is by the grace of God that we have survived to this point. To the various congregations and individuals who are supporting the work in Nigeria, we are grateful. Continue to pray for us because of the daunting challenges in this area. We must constantly thank God for the beautiful environment of NIATS. We must secure it so that more gospel preachers will be trained.

Great Workshop in Nigeria

Greetings from the students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN and fellow WBSFUW in the Western States of Nigeria.

23RD ANNUAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: The 23rd Annual Leadership Seminar took place from February 4 to 6, 2025, at Chad Wagner’s Open Hall in Butu-London, Butubutu Village, Ibadan, Oyo State. The event was attended by 157 adults from nine states across Nigeria.

Brethren began arriving at BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN on Sunday evening, and by 4:00 PM on Monday, the attendance had reached 66. Our guest speaker, Bro. Chad Wagner, joined us from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday evening to address key issues concerning the growth of the Lord’s Church in Nigeria, particularly in the western states.

A total of eleven gospel ministers participated in the seminar. The theme for this year’s gathering was "The Implementation of Ministerial Counseling in the Work of the Local Church."

Additionally, we were able to freely distribute:

1,670 copies of VOTI Volume 121

2,000 copies of the small Mission Printing songbook

15,000 copies of newly printed local tracts to the congregations represented.

END OF 2ND SEMESTER CLASSES AND UPCOMING SCHEDULE :The second semester officially conclude on February 7, 2025, after thirteen (13) weeks of classes. The third semester will last six (6) weeks, beginning on March 08, 2025, and ending on April 18, 2025.

Currently:

Year 1 students are engaged in vocational studies.

Year 2 students are on a preaching trip, ministering in congregations across the Western States of Nigeria.

Following the third semester, students will embark on their vocational studies and preaching trips as part of their practical ministerial training.

We appreciate your prayers and support as we continue to build up the Lord’s Church in Nigeria.

OUR TEAM WAS ATTACKED BY ARMED ROBBERS ON FEBRUARY 13,2025: Our WBS Team led by Bro. Eniafe Kayode was attacked by Armed Robbers on Thursday morning of February 13  in Osengere, Oyo State. The incident occurred at 6:30 am as they were en route to two private colleges in Ibadan for a World Bible School correspondence course enrollment during the colleges' Thursday morning devotion.

Unfortunately, the mission was disrupted, and one of our motorcycles was stolen. Bro. Eniafe Kayode was also physically assaulted before the robbers escaped with his motorcycle.

GREAT WORKSHOP 2025 HELD IN UKPAGADA, OGOJA, CROSS RIVER STATE, FROM FEBRUARY 18-22

We, the Ibadan team (Makinde Ebens, Eniafe Kayode, Oladokun Samuel, Amos Olusegun, and Adedoyin Rotimi), left Ibadan, Oyo State, at 4:12 pm on Monday to spend the night in a hotel near Sagamu Toll Gate, Ogun State.

On Tuesday morning, we joined the Lagos team at 7:12 am, and we arrived in Ukpagada, Ogoja, by 9:25 pm.

This year’s workshop focused on *Doing The Work (of Evangelism) Well*. The guest speaker, Bro. Chad Wagner, and the workshop director, Bro. Michael Udam, welcomed all the participants to the Ukpagada community in Ogoja, Cross River State, on Wednesday morning.

Some of the resource people included: Bro. Chad Wagner, Bro. Mike Udam, Bro. Samuel Okon, Bro. Tubobelem West, Bro. Usim Solomon, Bro. Joe Obinna, Bro. Mike Cochrane, Bro. Biodun Owolabi, among others.

The lectures were held daily between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Day 2 of the workshop was dedicated to house-to-house evangelism within Ogoja town.

The program officially ended on Friday evening .

This year’s workshop was attended by over 800 participants from more than 20 states in Nigeria, with eleven attendees from Cameroon and Liberia.

Four thousand (4,000) copies of VOTI Volume 121, two thousand (2,000) copies of the small Mission Printing songbook, and many other materials, along with the Bible, were freely distributed during the three days of spiritual fellowship by the director of the program, Bro. Michael Udam.

 Bro. Chad Wagner declared the seminar closed at 5:18 pm on Friday.

Lord willing, next year’s workshop will be held in Benin City, Edo State.

REPORT OF FOUR-WEEK STUDENTS' PREACHING TRIP/VOCATIONAL STUDIES : The BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan students embarked on a four-week preaching trip/vocational studies from February 7, with an expected return date of March 10, ahead of the 3rd Semester classes.

The trip has yielded fruitful results, with: 13 conversions and 26 restorations.

Notably, on February 16, the students serving in Butu-London and its environs witnessed five souls added to the kingdom after the morning worship. The students from the Northern part (Kebbi and Benue States) have demonstrated remarkable commitment to soul-winning.

Interestingly, most of our conversions in January and February 2025 in Butu-London and its environs have been from the Northern region, while the restorations have been among Yoruba-speaking brethren.

To God be the glory and honor! We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all partners and supporters.

ABOUT A STUDENT:

Bro. Itie-Ubong Okon Udo is one of our present year two students. He is from Ikot Ubam Ukwok, Ini L.G.A, Akwa-Ibom State. Born on February 3 ,2006. Converted in February 14, 2021 at The Church of Christ, Odoro Ukwok, Ini Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State.

Admitted into the Ministerial Department of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN in August 2023.

His mission of coming here is to be well equipped with the Word of God so as to be able to defend the faith and sound evangelist in the future.

He is presently studying fashion designer as his vocational studies.

INTRODUCTION

The month of February has come and gone. We are grateful to God Almighty for his abundant grace and mercy. We are also thankful to the great Bear Valley family for their constant support. The burden of rebuilding the school is heavy both on material resources and human resources. However, it is the case that with God all things are possible. When gratitude is expressed, it is not to be taken as mere words of expression. We really mean it. We will make sure that monies provided for the running of the school will be religiously applied. The truth is, there is work to be done and there is work on every hand.

From the foregoing, as gleaned from the timetable for next month’s examination. The above courses were taught. There was no space to accommodate the course on Godhead as an independent course. The course is merged with Denominational Doctrines. There is the existence of English, Literature in English, Practicum and Igbo language and so on.

HOSTEL

The student hostel needs careful attention. The hostel has capacity but would need tiling, window work, plastering and painting of some parts. There is a need to gather the iron bed frames and fix them and direct the students on how to use them properly. Cleanliness is next to godliness. The foregoing idea must be instilled in the students.

 EVANGELISM

The nature of student evangelism as I have observed it is different. They usually go weekends and preach on Sunday mornings in either their home congregation or somewhere else. Moreover, the students are invited by different congregations on invitation. Sometimes, they are invited during class days. Thus, for the month of February the report is as exemplified by one of the students’ reports.

“In the following programmes, events and meetings, aside from normal routine, I participated fully during every church service. On Sunday, second of February, 2025. I handled sermons using the topic “WORK CHOP” text was 2 Thess 3:10 at Nenu church of Christ, a topic that thrilled hundreds of people and moved over 98% into positive action. Moreover, on the 16th of February, I presented a sober reflecting mild speech on the topic “purify thy heart” during Lord’s Supper.”

This is the way and manner of the evangelism for now. We hope that this will change in the near future. Subsequently, the students will embark on weekend evangelism. They will go to one village and establish studies. This will continue through the semester. It is believed that this method would help the students improve in their ability to conduct studies and manage prospects relationships. Door-to-door evangelism is key.

PROGRAMMES IN THE SCHOOL

GRADUATION / LECTURESHIP

The 12th and 13th of February saw the influx of many brethren into NIATS. The theme of the lectureship was, “Repositioning the Church for the Contemporary Challenges.” Series of paper presentations were made and brethren were duly edified. The 14th of February was the culmination of the programme. About 16 students graduated. It was a great reunion as many brethren trooped in for the first time in a long time. It is hoped that next year will be even better.

NAITS SISTERS’ LECTURESHIP

The sisters from the congregations around Southeastern Nigeria and beyond usually have their annual lectureship every 27 to 1st of March. Theme of the lectureship was “Our Potential, Our Divine Purpose.” The lectureship was well attended and the record was about a thousand in attendance. On Friday, the 28th of February, we had about 8 baptisms while on the 1st of March we had 19 baptisms. There were a total of 27 baptisms. It was a rewarding experience and the participants were excited about the new looks of NIATS and hope to see more improvement the next time they visit.

PART-TIME TEACHERS

It is interesting that the director of the school lives on campus. The presence of the Director and the Dean of Students have further added security to the students and serves as an encouragement to them.

The journey is still long but there is hope. Next week is the week of examination, we pray that God will be with the students all the way. The Assistant international Director, Chad Wagner and all the Bear Valley Family for the partnership and awesome support. Until all have heard!

END -OF- THE -YEAR PROGRAM: 

The students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN actively participated in an end-of-the-year program across the Western States of Nigeria from December 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025.  

This two-week program featured Open-Air Bible Lectureship and House-to-House Evangelism in Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Kwara, and Ekiti States. By God’s grace, these efforts resulted in:  

11 conversions and 16 restorations of erring brethren . 

CONCLUSION OF SECOND SEMESTER CLASSES:

By God’s will, the second semester’s classes, tests, and projects will conclude on February 7, 2025.

The third semester will commence on March 10, 2025, following a four-week Vacation Studies program.  

JANUARY 2025 WEEKEND EVANGELISM OUTREACH

In January, students were divided into 12 groups for evangelism outreach on the following dates:  

- January 10–12  

- January 17–19  

- January 24–26  

Evangelism efforts were focused on Ajia Town, Badeku, Jago, Egbeda, Felele, Felele Rab, Elewura, Fasade, Butubutu, Lamini, Laduntan (all in Oyo State), and Asejire (in Osun State).  

By God’s grace, nine souls were converted at Hausa's  community during outreach efforts in Butubutu, Lamini, and Laduntan. To God be the glory! 

TWO CONGREGATIONS PLANTED

In early January 2025, BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN staff and students in collaboration with some like minded gospel preachers in Lagos and Ogun States planted two congregations:  

1. Iworo Town (via Badagry, Lagos State)  

2. Kajola/Interchange Area (Sagamu, Ogun State)  

These new congregations, located in areas heavily influenced by denominationalism, require moral and financial support to thrive.  

BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN OPENED A STUDY CENTER IN IJEBU LAND:  

Ijebu Land has historically been resistant to the Gospel. However, through divine intervention, two congregations were planted in the area in previous years by the school, bringing the total number of congregations there to eight or ten.  

On January 11, 2025, BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN opened a new study center in Sabo Sagamu, Ogun State. The center began with 11 students, and by the time of this report, the number had grown to 15, representing five congregations in Ijebu Land.  

The study center is coordinated by Bro. Olowe Bode (a BVBIN degree student and evangelist at Sabo Sagamu COC), assisted by Bro. Olaegbe Samuel (a graduate of WNCC and the School of Biblical Studies, Abeokuta) and Bro. Oladokun Samuel (a BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN instructor).  

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT:

Bro. Siyanbola Mumini Olukayode is one of our year -1-students. A native of Ibadan City in Oyo State. Converted from Islamic religion to Christianity in 2022. 

Born in 1948. Blessed with children. His mission of coming to BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN is to acquire more knowledge of the Scriptures and to spend his remaining life for God and salvation of mankind starting from his family.

In Conclusion: Lord's willing, I will be using my support from Dorman and Donna Lough to sponsor three of my fellow workers to this year Great Workshop in Ogoja, Cross River State on February 18 through 22,2025.

Here is the summary of our activities for the month of November 2024.

OVERVIEW:

STUDENTS' FOUR-WEEK VOCATIONAL TRAINING/BREAK: The vocational training and preaching outreach by BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN first- and second-year students, held from October 11 to November 8, led to the conversion of twenty people and the restoration of twenty-three erring brethren.

SECOND SEMESTER LECTURES BEGIN FOR THE 2024/2025 SET: The second semester commenced as planned on Monday, November 11, 2024, and is scheduled to conclude on February 7, 2025, God willing. Seventeen first-year students and ten second-year students returned to campus between November 8 and 12 to begin the semester. Nine instructors—Bro. Eniafe Olukayode, Bro. Isaac Olaniyan, Bro. Makinde John, Bro. Israel Tajomavwo, Bro. Oladokun Samuel, Bro. Olugbenga Ojo, and myself, Bro. Makinde Ebenezer—along with Sister Oyenuga Esther and Bro. Folorunso Richard, who continue as computer operators, will be actively supporting the program this semester.

REPORT FROM FELLOW FIELD WORKERS:

Bro. Victor Smarter reported the conversion of a couple this November in Ussa, Taraba State.

Bro. Olorode Samuel noted the conversion of a young sister and the restoration of a family of two in Ode-Ajagba, Ondo State.

Bro. M.B. Archiborn shared the news of seven conversions during this month’s Bible Seminar held in Obot H village, Ikot Ekpene Area, Akwa-Ibom State.

 IJERO-EKITI AND KUTA-OSUN STATES PREACHING TRIP:

From November 15-17, a mass evangelism and Open-Air Bible Lectureship was held, attended by over twenty brethren from various congregations. The event was organized and sponsored by BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN. Eight of us from BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN graced the occasion, which led to the conversion of one woman.

From November 21-24, a similar mass evangelism and Open-Air Bible Lectureship took place in Kuta, Osun State, with over 40 brethren attending from different parts of the country. Additionally, there were 10 invitees, excluding children, in attendance. In attendance we had above 40 members at the evangelism, some of the members there were, Bro Oluwatobi , Bro Okanlawon Rokeeb, Bro Ayobami Ogunjimi, Bro Adebayo Oluleke, Bro Gideon Olaniyan, Bro Ajayi, Bro Adekunle Ademola, Bro Banke, Bro Ayaniyi, Bro Makinde, Bro Timothy Iwe, Bro Kayode Eniafe and the BVBIN students

The program was blessed with seven conversions and many prospects . Please continue to pray for the success of these two congregations.

The program in Kuta led to the establishment of the Church of Christ in Kuta, located on Railway Road, Iloro Area

ABOUT A STUDENT

Bro. Dami Princewill Simon,born on August 24, 1994, into the family of John Michael in Panyam District, Mangu LGA, Plateau State, Nigeria, he experienced early family changes. His parents, Mr. John Michael and Mrs. Felicia Simon Dami, separated when he was just a year old, with his mother returning to her parents' home, where he was raised. Both parents remarried, and he grew up with his maternal grandparents.

He attended LGEA Primary School in Diyes-Bwor, Panyam District, and began his secondary education at Baptist High School Twaspughal-Bwor. Later, he transferred to Balka Community Secondary School in Chakfem, Mangu LGA, where he completed his studies. Seeking a deeper understanding of God's word amidst diverse interpretations, he decided to join the Southwest School of Evangelism (SWSE) in Ibadan.

Originally a member of the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN), he was admitted to the Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria and SWSE Ibadan in 2022. After two weeks of study with BVBIN & SWSE Ibadan, he was baptized. In 2023, he married Sister Forgiveness, also known as Nanret, who had been added to the Lord’s church before their marriage.

By God's grace, he began evangelizing in his village, Diyes-Bwor, in early January 2024. His efforts led to nine conversions and the establishment of a congregation in the village. Today, the Lord's Church in Diyes-Bwor has grown to approximately 15–20 worshippers.

The BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN concluded all first semester lectures on October 11, marking the start of a four-week Vocational Training program for the first-year students. During this time, second-year students begin their practical assignments on Monday(October 14), working with congregations across the Western States of Nigeria that have requested their services.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brother Chad Wagner and his associates, Brother Keith Kasarjian, BVBID USA, Larry and Patty Goodin and Tulare community Church of Christ, Dorman and Donna Lough, Sister Cherry Lloyd, Zach and Kim Van Tassel, Gahana -Jefferson Congregation, Bro. REPORT ON THE ORDINATION CEREMONY OF ELDERS AND DEACONS OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST No. 8, Omosebi-Olugbo Street, Mile 12, Lagos State, Nigeria:

On October 13, a significant event took place in the history of the Lord's Church in Mile 12, Lagos State. Three brothers—Michael Akerele, Olukunle Odebode, and Adetunji Oni—were ordained as elders, while seven brothers—Okedara Bode, Oyeleke Gbenga, Onaolapo Ninyo, Adegboyega Akinbade, Christian Idenu, Olaolu Olowoyo, and Abiodun Adisa—were ordained as deacons.

The ceremony was officiated by myself, Makinde Ebens, alongside Bro. Ayobami Akanji, an elder from the Lord's Church in Isheri-Oshun, Bro. Biodun Owolabi, President of WNCC & SBS in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Bro. Adisa from Onipanu COC, and Bro. Jeremiah Taiwo, Bro. Emmanuel Oguntade, among others.

The event was attended by over 300 brethren from various congregations within and beyond Lagos State. 

We pray that the Lord grants these newly ordained elders and deacons divine guidance as they lead the church in Mile 12.

ABOUT A STUDENT:

Sister Akanmu Temitope Abigail is one of our first-year students. She hails from Butubutu Village in Ibadan, Oyo State, and was born in 1995 to a prominent native doctor, Suleman Olugbode. She is married to Pastor Akanmu Abayomi Solomon, a former denominational pastor, and they are blessed with two children.

Sister Temitope and her husband converted to Christianity in 2020. The couple was admitted to our Ministerial Program in 2022. She holds a school certificate and is currently studying NAPPMEG (Selling of Pharmaceuticals) to support her family while they engage in ministry. 

Her husband is currently serving as an evangelist with the Lord's Church in Ajia Town, Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State.

COMING EVENTS:

i- A three days Mass Evangelism Outreach and Open -Air Bible Lectureship at Ijero -Ekiti, Ekiti State from November 15-17,2024. Ijero -Ekiti is one of the Lord's church the Lord restored through our efforts in year 2022.

ii- A four days Mass Evangelism Outreach and Open -Air Bible Lectureship at Kuta in Osun State from November 21-24, 2024 with the aim of planting of the Lord's church in that town.

Schooling Updates and Lecturship Plans in Abia State, Nigeria

We are pleased to present this report for the the month of October 2024, on academic activities and some developmental projects being carried out. These activities and projects were made possible through your generous support and partnership.

1. SCHOOL/ACADEMIC RESUMPTION:

The school resumed on October 9, 2024. All the students have resumed. We have ten (10) out of twelve (12) students the sat for the entrance exams present in year one, and six (6) students in year two.

Presently we have 16 students. And we will be graduating sixteen (16) students by January or February 2024. We have nine (9) regular teachers and one part-time Greek teacher.

All the teachers and other non academic staff are all committed to their work.

2. EVANGELISM PROGRAMS:

The school sent 13 students with some lecturers to a four (4) day Gospel campaign that started on October 31 and will end on November 3, 2024. One of our lecturers is hosting it (Evang. Orji Onyeanulam). We equally have an invitation from church of Christ, No.5/6 Ndoki Road Aba for a Gospel Campaign/possible Church planting on November 30-December 3. 

We are still supporting two preacher in new congregations, one in Ukwa Local Government and the other at Isialangwa, North Local Government Area.

In the congregation where our acting director B.N Esiaba serves, two souls were restored last month of October 2024.

We are initiating hospital ministry which may commence this month God's willing.

The students will go the Hospital to minister to the sick there.

3. ANNUAL LECTURESHIP/ MATRICULATION AND GRADUATION:

The proposed lectureship slated to hold on December 14-16, 2024 was shifted to hold next year during Chad Wagner’s visit to Nigeria for him to witness what we are doing and also be a source of encouragement to the brethren. And also we will use the opportunity to unveil our new director by God's grace.

4. RENOVATION:

Work has started on one of the buildings, which is being renovated for our New substantive director. And by His grace it would be complicated on or before second week of December 2024.

5. We would be conducting interview for the position of the director of the school on November 16, 2024.

Developments and Evangelistic Plans in Abia State, Nigeria

INTRODUCTION:

We shall continue to thank God Almighty for your unwavering support to our dear institution. May God continue His blessings upon you all.

Nigeria Institute of Arts and Theological Studies / Bear Valley Bible Institute is still moving on in her quest for training men for  service to God and humanity.

The institution has been going through some positive transformations in  recent time in order to reposition it to compete favourably with other sisters Bible training schools.

And in pursuant of the above, the Board of Governors of the Institution is in search of a substantive Director, following the resignation of the the former director, brother Benard Osita Akokwu from his position. This was done on a mutual understanding between him and the Board of Governors for the progress of the school on the Month July 2024. 

By the grace of God we will be engaging a new director by January 2025.

Presently the Board selected one of the lectures brother, B.N Esiaba in acting capacity to work with a committee set by the Board for the smooth running of the school till we get the new Director .

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES:

The school has been in section for about eighteen weeks now, studied for sixteen weeks. And the rest of the two weeks was used for examinations and we have closed for the for the second semester.

During the sixteen weeks, every lecturer was present and taught their lessons effectively. The exams were taken peacefully and most students performed creditably.

Presently we have nine teaching staff and six non teaching staff. We equally have sixteen students. Year one six students and year two ten students.

  EVANGELISM:

The students are presently on holidays. Their evangelism activities will be reported in our next monthly report.

Some of the lecturers took part in some evangelism programs and lectureships organized by their congregations outside Abia State. The acting director, B. N Esiaba was one of the resource persons in one day seminar at Church of Christ 29 Akpulu Street Okpoko in Anambra State.

NIATS/BVBI EVENTS:

NIATS/BVBI will be holding her Annual Bible Lectureship and Convocation Ceremony scheduled to hold on Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th December 2024.

First week of February 2025 NIATS/BVBI will be hosting Annual Men and Women Seminar/ Evangelism. Also, the first week of March 2025, the school will equally be hosting the National Ladies  Seminar.

CONCLUSION:

We conducted entrance exam/ interview for the new intake, eight out ten brethren that applied can for the entrance exam/ interview on September 27, 2024. There will still be another day for the supplementary exam/interview and we hope that more brethren will still come.

Here are summary of some of our activities for the month of August 2024:

BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN Six Weeks Practicum/Teaching Practice Report:

Our students in their final practicum/teaching practice for the 2023/24 session have reported the conversion of 37 individuals and the restoration of 25 erring brethren to the faith. Although the program was originally scheduled for four weeks, the students chose to extend their commitment by spending an additional two weeks with the congregations to which they were assigned.

REPORT FROM RECIPIENTS OF VOTI BOOKLETS:

Reports from regular recipients of VOTI booklets in Oyo, Ogun, and Akwa-Ibom States indicate the conversion of 17 souls and the restoration of 22 individuals during July and August 2024. We give glory and honor to God for these blessings and extend our thanks to the VOTI Crew. May the Lord continue to bless our efforts together in Christ Jesus' name. Amen.

FIRST SEMESTER CLASSES COMMENCE AS SCHEDULED SCHEDULED:

The first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session began on August 19, with a total of 30 students enrolled—17 in the first year and 13 in the second year.

BVBIN Degree Program Report:

The two-week BVBIN Bachelor's degree program was held as scheduled from August 12 to 22 in Butu-London, Butubutu Village, Ibadan. 

Bro. Durojaiye Odeyemi substituted for Bro. Chad Wagner, teaching Greek I, while Bro. Ayobami Akanji, an elder at the Lord's Church in Isheri-Oshun, Lagos State, instructed the seven students in Congregational Development I. Lectures took place daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The school provided meals for both students and instructors each day.

We give thanks to the Lord for His mercy and grace throughout these two weeks. Our gratitude extends to Russell and Ginger Knowles, Bro. Keith Kasarjian and associates, Bro. Chad Wagner and associates, Doug and Diane Wheeler, Dorman and Donna Lough, Sister Cherry Lloyd and family, Zach and Kim Van Tassel, Larry and Patty Goodin, The Tulare Community Church of Christ, and everyone who supported, encouraged, and partnered with us.

22ND ANNUAL BIBLE LECTURESHIP OF AUGUST 22 through 24,  2024

The three-day Annual Bible Lectureship held at Doug Wheeler's Events Center was attended by over 300 brethren and friends of the Lord's Church. Attendance grew steadily from Tuesday, with over 100 attendees, including students, present by Thursday morning.

This year’s theme, "Christ in You - The Hope of Glory" (Colossians 1:27), focused on navigating the current hardships in Nigeria and reinforcing Christ as our all-sufficient Savior and guide. A lineup of experienced ministers addressed various topics to renew our hope and faith. On Friday evening, sessions were held at both Doug Wheeler's Events Center and Chad Wagner's Open Hall, covering "Maturity in Christ in Times Like These" and "Crisis Management in the Home."

Topics included:

- Who is Jesus Christ?

- What Shall I Do with Christ?

- The Character of Christ

- Jesus Christ: The Answer in Hopeless Situations

- Jesus Christ: The Way, the Truth, and the Life

- The Power of Believing in Christ

The event also featured a youth conference and football matches to promote physical activity and fellowship.

22ND GRADUATION CEREMONY OF 26 SUCCESSFUL BIBLE STUDENTS

The 22nd Graduation Ceremony was a joyous occasion, witnessed by over 300 brethren and friends of the Lord’s Church. It was held at Doug Wheeler's Events Center in Butu-London, Butubutu Village, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Bro. Tim Iwe served as our Moderator and Master of Ceremonies, while Bro. Oladokun Samuel led us in songs of praise. Bro. Emmanuel Odo delivered a powerful admonition to the graduating students from the Pauline Epistles, encouraging them to be faithful ministers of God.

During the ceremony, fourteen students received the SWSE Diploma in Biblical Studies, two students were awarded the SWSE-IBADAN Certificate of Attendance, and ten students earned the BVBIN Advanced Diploma. Each graduate was also presented with a pack of working tools for ministry.

Special awards were given to honor outstanding students:

 **Best Ministerial Award** (donated by Bro. Chad Wagner) was awarded to Bro. Ogaji Emmanuel Isaac.

- **Most Disciplined Student** (donated by Larry and Patty Goodin) was awarded to Bro. Richard Preyorete Timothy.

- **Best Academic Student** (donated by Bro. & Sister Ayobami Akanji) was awarded to Bro. Folorunsho Richard Oluwapelumi.

- **Most Improved Student** (donated by Bro. Chad Wagner) was awarded to Bro. Olaleye Josiah Sina.

- **Most Hardworking Student** (donated by The Makinde Family) was awarded to Bro. Augustine Joseph Dada.

- **Most Responsible Student** (donated by BVBIN & SWSE Foundation) was awarded to Bro. Folorunsho Richard Oluwapelumi.

- **Evangelism Award** (donated by Bro. Keith Kasarjian) was presented to Bro. Murphat Victor Chinagorom, Bro. Ilesanmi Samson Ojo, and Bro. Osarenren Nosakhare Joshua for their exceptional dedication to house-to-house evangelism.

- **Most Humble and God-Fearing Student** (donated by Bro. Doug Wheeler) was awarded to Bro. Akanmu Solomon Abayomi.

- **Priscilla Award** (donated by Sister Ronke Kila) was awarded to Sister Abigail Augustine and Sister Abigail Akanmu.

- **Leadership Award** (donated by The Aiyela Family) was awarded to Bro. Edokpai Blessing Enoch, our student leader.

As the event concluded, all participants were given a pack of gospel literature, including VOTI Volume 120, Different publications by Mission Printing International, local tracts, and three cartons of gospel tracts distributed to all the churches present. 

The ceremony ended with pictures and light refreshments. We give thanks to Almighty God for His guidance and support in all aspects. To Him be all the glory and honor.

ABOUT A STUDENT : Fasonu Adams Oluwamuyiwa

Fasonu Adams Oluwamuyiwa, a second-year student admitted into the BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN program in August 2023, was baptized into the Lord's Church in 2019 at Barracks Road Church of Christ, Ondo, Ondo State. Fasonu chose to attend BVBIN to deepen his knowledge of the Scriptures, enhance his evangelistic skills, and develop the ability to discern right from wrong based on Biblical teachings.

Successful Report from Sabo Oniba/Lagos Island Centers

SABO ONIBA/LAGOS ISLAND CENTERS REPORT: April to June 2024

INTRODUCTION

Rom 13: 5: “Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.” This is one of the Bible passages that becomes very challenging to obey when one sees that the leaders are corrupt therefore not doing their duty. Nigeria is now a practical case study in this area. However, we thank God in the midst of all these, his children are navigating through it. We are also grateful to the sponsors of our school project and other mission work going on here in Lagos and other places. We are raising an army for the Lord; some are under training while others have become team members in the fieldwork. 

 BEAR VALLEY WORK

The divine responsibility to train faithful men who will in turn train others continues in our two centers here in Lagos. The Book Of James which is about the principles of Christian Growth and Maturity was handled by Tim Iwe. Hermeneutics 1 was taught by Akanimoh Archbong and Oluwafemi Adewuyi showed the students the nature and identities of the New Testament Church in Lagos Island center. Sabo Oniba welcomed two new students in the last quarter. In their classwork, Suleiman Yusuf spent time on NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH – 2 (WORSHIP). Israel Tajomavwo from Ikorodu Center led the class on CHURCH HISTORY while Gbenga Ilori from Agege Center took the class on CHRISTIAN HOME.

Paul Benjamin Orji: Bro Paul is from Umuneochi, Mbala in Abia state. He obeyed the gospel in 1993 and is doing his private business in Alaba International market here in Lagos. Paul is married with children. He is a member of Sabo Oniba congregation where he has been assisting the Minster who was his mentor. Bro Paul took over the ministerial work as the preacher from the retired minister. He has been a visiting worker and teacher to many young congregations in his area. We are happy to have him as one of our students in the Sabo Study Center.   

CAMPAIGNS/EVANGELISM

Within this quarter, we held our strategic physical meeting/planning, visited six high schools for enrollments, carried out market evangelism, and were able to plant a congregation in Ogolonto, Ikorodu Lagos.

WBS ENROLLMENT/BAPTISM

From our outings, we have enrolled 215 prospects for the WBS evangelism program of which nine (9) lessons have been returned to us and given to the students. We recorded 5 baptisms from the team this quarter and we have more than 300 prospects for follow-up. This quarter also, offered me the opportunity to train 8 preachers from Enugu town, and 5 in Lagos on how to be an Online WBS Study Helper. I will be going to Owerri this July ending and Abuja in the first week of August for the same purpose. Thanks to Bro Chad for supporting this training with the transport fair.  

APPRECIATION

We, at the Instructing crew of BV Schools highly appreciate the efforts of the Management of BV, especially Bro. Keith Kasarjian and Bro. Chad Wagner. They are always on hand to sponsor, render advice, correction, and other forms of help that assist the program to run smoothly. We also appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of our sponsors. Beloved in Christ Jesus,

Grace, peace and mercy be multiplied into you all from God our father and from Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer. Below is the summary of some of our activities for the month of June.

The school organized four(4) WBS Seminar\ Mass Evangelism in four different towns in the Western States of Nigeria:

June 7-9: Ajia town in Ibadan, Oyo State

June 14-16: Aramoko- Ekiti,Ekiti State

June 21-23: Esa-Oke in Osun State

June 28-30: Badagry- Central in Lagos State

To God be the glory, these spiritual exercise programs was blessed with five conversion and fifteen restoration of erring brethren.

WEEKEND EVANGELISM OUTREACH

In spite our tight scheduled, the students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE – Ibadan were busy in all the weekends of June 2024 in the evangelization of fifteen different towns and villages in Western States of Nigeria.

The group that worked in Butubutu Village and environment were blessed with a soul while we are still waiting for our prospects in other zones to obey the gospel through water baptism.

FOURTH SEMESTER CLASSES CONTINUE

This last semester for 2023\24 session is the most busy session according to the school’s calendar. We had to create more time for practical work because of the students teaching practice of July through August.

The instructors for this semester were: Bro. Eniafe Olukayode, Bro. Makinde John, Bro. Olaniyan Isaac, Bro. Oladokun Samuel, Bro. Ebenezer Ojo, Bro. Israel Tajomavwo, Bro. Durojaiye Odeyemi , Bro. Samuel Effiong and myself, Bro. Makinde Ebens, while Bro. Folorunsho Richard and Sister Oyenuga Esther continue tutoring the computers.

ABOUT A STUDENT

Bro. Okesanmi Darasimi James is one of our year-1 students born into a Christian family on June 2001 and was baptized in April 2015 at the Lord’s church in Osu,Osun State. Gained admission into our ministerial department in year 2022. He is the second born of Bro. Okesanmi Stephen, the minister of the Church of Christ, Osu, Osun State.

His mission is to serve as one of the seasoned ministers of God after his tertiary education.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Lord’s willing our students will embark on a month teaching practice (practicum) on July 06 through August 04,2024 to Oyo, Ogun,Osun,Ondo,Kwara,Edo and Lagos State.

The BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan 22nd Annual Bible Lectureship is coming up between August 22 through 24,2024.

The BVBIN Degree program next class is coming up between August 12 through 22,2024.

Bro. Chad Wagner is expected to teach on Greek-1 while Bro Ayobami Akanji will be handling congregational-Development-1

STATE OF THINGS IN OUR COUNTRY-NIGERIA

Across our country-Nigeria, the cost of essential commodities such like rice, beans, Garri and Cassava flour has surged significantly, triggering widespread protests and incidents of looting as citizens grapple with the escalating cost of living. The unexpected rise in food prices has led to public agitation with people in various regions calling for increase in the minimum wage to manage the financial burden.

Recent occurrences indicate a growing sense of desperation among the populace, with some resorting to hijacking trucks loaded with foodstuffs and raiding warehouses to seize supplies.

The wave of looting underscores the acute distress faced by many Nigerians as food affordability countries to plummet.

The dramatic increase in the prices of common foods, emphasizing the economic hardship imposed on average citizens.

The present situation has raised alarm among policy makers, social activities and economists who are concerned about the potential long-term impacts of these price hikes of food security and social stability in the country. In fact, the policy of the new Nigeria government is not favorable to the masses at-all! May God sake our country.

The hardship also affect the numerical growth of the church as well as our weekly collection.

CONCLUSION

Report Of Bear Valley Bible Institute Weekend School, Ondo State, April to June, 2024.

Dear Brethren,

Calvary greetings from Ondo City to our beloved brethren and Bear Valley family! Indeed we are grateful to God and to our brethren for their partnership, support, and sacrifices to us in Ondo State! Our hearts are filled with joy for this synergy! We are appreciative to the Eldership and all the brethren at Bear Valley Church, Denver, Colorado for their unfailing love and support! God bless you all in Jesus' name, Amen. 

Evangelism Report: As a School in Ondo State, as our usual habit, evangelism is our hubby, we went out to preach in Sabo Orimolade area for the third consecutive time on 29th June, 2024 with all the instructors and Students! We had open air preaching on that day with house to house evangelism! We hope to open a new congregation of the Lord there very soon, God willing. We would appreciate your prayers always for this! 

Also, in Akure center, our beloved instructors and students went out as well to Evangelized their area! The area covered was Leo area of Akure! Several prospects were contacted during the preaching exercise! We hope strongly their souls will be harvested for the Lord in the shortest time, Amen.

God willing, the School in Ondo State will be organizing their third year Leadership Bible Seminar that will comes up on the 21st of September, 2024.

Classroom Activities: In the cause of the months under reportage April to June 2024! We had wonderful classroom experiences!

April, 2024 in Ondo City centre, Brother Godwin Emmanuel taught the students The book of James. While in Akure center, Brother Akilapa taught the students 2 Corinthians.

May, 2024 in Ondo City centre, Brother Akilapa taught 2 Corinthians. While in Akure center Brother Godwin Emmanuel taught the book of James. 

June, 2024 in Ondo City centre, Brother Philemon Ohaebuka taught the book of Galatians! While in Akure center Brother Akilapa taught Godhead as a course. 

We returned all glory to God for His blessings, Safety on all the Instructors and the students! The students are gradually close to the end of their studies. 

Brother Taiwo Adepetun is a new student with the School! He is the denominational Pastor converted to the Lord! he is doing very great with his studies! He is willing to learn more about the rudiments of the gospel of Christ! He is grateful to God for the truth he has found! He is 35 years old and is married with one child! He is very active with the truth he has found in Christ, he is willing to tell the whole world this truth with great zeal of God in him! He is ready to preach after acquiring Bible knowledge! To God be the glory, Amen.

Miscellaneous: As at today, we are grateful as a School for the supplies! Thank you so much for your help and leadership.

Baptisms and a Church Restoration in Taraba State, Nigeria

BVBI Taraba School Nigeria: Second Quarter 2024 Report.

Dear brethren, we salute you all in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. As you continue to pray and support us morally and financially, we also continue to put in our best despite the numerous political and economic challenges we keep facing in our nation Nigeria.

I am grateful to God Almighty to relate to you that we continue to thrive and increase in knowledge as our work expands daily.

Our students and instructors relentlessly reach out to the lost and feeble.

From April to June this year, we were able to attain the following:

1. Baptism: Four baptisms, two recorded during the two days outreach in Gollong area of Jalingo metropolis, and the other two during personal evangelism.

2. Restoration: the church in Iware, a sub-burb of Jalingo that stopped meeting for two years, was restored by our student; Kingsley Francis. The family of Akaras Solomon was also restored back to faith.

The following courses were taught by Elkanah Madaki, Terkule Aoraabe and Bala Ebgwakoteh: Marriage and Family, intertestamental Period, and Peace and Conflict Management, respectively.

We are soliciting your prayers as some of our students and their wives are sick and even admitted in hospital.

Harvest of souls in Nigeria

MAY 2024 FIELD REPORT 

Beloved in Christ Jesus.

We appreciate the Almighty God for His mercy and love toward us all and for the progress so far recorded in the year 2024 at the BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN located at Butu -London, Butubutu village via Badeku/Jago Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State, Nigeria.

We also appreciate you all for your partnership, support and sacrifice. May the Lord continue to bless all our work together in Christ Jesus, amen.

HARVEST OF SOULS AND RESTORATION OF ERRING BRETHREN:

The just concluded  break/preaching trip by our year-2 students and vocational studies by year-1 students resulted in thirty-one conversions and eighteen restorations in Kwara, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, and Edo States.

Bro. Sunday Dada, Richard Renfro Timothy, and Bro. Osarenren Nosa recorded the highest numbers of conversions of six each in their area of service and restoration of four and seven, respectively. To God be the glory and honor.

FOURTH SEMESTER CLASSES BEGIN: 

The final semester of the 2023/24 academic year commenced on May 13th, 2024.  Twenty-three year-1 and six year-2 students returned to Butubutu village campus for the start of 4th semester classes.  We are grateful for our dedicated instructors: Bro. Eniafe Olukayode, Bro. Ebenezer Olugbenga Ojo, Bro. Makinde John, Bro. Israel Tajomavwo, Bro . Samuel Effiong, Bro. Oladokun Samuel, Bro. Isaac Olaniyan, and myself (Bro. Makinde Ebens). Bro. Folorunso Richard and Sister Oyenuga Esther continue their valuable service as computer instructors.  The semester concludes on July 5th, followed by a one-month teaching practicum for the students.

VOTI, MISSION PRINTING TRACTS , HOW GOD SPEAKS AND OUR LOCAL TRACTS AID IN CONVERSIONS OF SOULS.

A report reaching our office from recipients of VOTI, Mission Printing's trifolds, small songbook ,How God Speaks, and local tracts indicates that these resources played a significant role in the conversion of eighteen (18) individuals and the restoration of faith for twenty -three (23) believers in Oyo and Akwa-Ibom States, Nigeria, during May 2024.

We are deeply grateful to Brother Jerry Bates and his wonderful VOTI family, Brother Richard Renfro for his leadership and the Mission Printing crew for their tireless efforts in producing these vital resources. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Brother Chad Wagner and his associates for their unwavering support for African evangelism, particularly in Nigeria. 

May the Lord continue to bless our collaborative efforts as we work together to share the Gospel message.

SWKA - BUTUBUTU VILLAGE, IBADAN, OYO STATE - Resumption of Third Term

According to the Oyo State Basic and Secondary Education Schedule, the Southwest School of Evangelism Kiddies Academy resumed their third term on April 29, 2024.

OJOKU MASS EVANGELISM OUTREACH / WBS SEMINAR

The students and staff of the school in collaboration with the WBSFUW in Osun and Ondo States actively participated in 3 days mass evangelism outreach/ WBS- Seminar at Ojoku town, Ona -Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State from the noon of May 24 till May 26.

We evangelized the town in the noon of May 24 and morning of May 25 and stage an open -air Bible Lectureship that centered on God's plan of Redeeming Mankind .

The following were the speakers in the two days Open -Air: Brothers Amos Olusegun, myself (Makinde Ebens), Adeyiwolu Isaac and one of our year -2-students, Umoh Sunday.

Even though, there is no conversion presently, but we were blessed with a restoration and many prospects in this town of about 5,000 inhabitants.

Our next preaching trip is coming up on June 7-9,2024 Lord's willing.

Brother Folorunso Richard and Sister Oyenuga Esther continue serving as the School Computer Instructors .

Year-1 students are now engaged in a month-long vocational training program, while year-2 students are participating in a preaching trip to churches within the Western States and Benin-Edo State and Ayekale -Odofin via Omu -Aran in Kwara State of Nigeria.

We look forward to the commencement of fourth-semester classes, Lord willing, on May 13th, 2024.

A SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR

22ND ANNUAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR AND GRADUATION CEREMONY OF BVBIN DEGREE STUDENTS

This year's Leadership Seminar, held at Chad Wagner's Open Hall from April 11th to 13th, 2024, welcomed over 200 church leaders from within and outside the Western States of Nigeria.

Participants began arriving at the premises of BVBIN and SWSE-IBADAN on Wednesday evening. By Thursday morning, over 100 church leaders had registered for the seminar.

Church leaders from Rivers, Delta, Edo, Kogi, Niger, Kwara, Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun actively participated in the three-day program of spiritual exercises. 

Over 3,000 VOTI volume 119 booklets, BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN 2024 calendars, approximately 10,000 Mission Printing Trifolds tracts, 3,000 Mission Printing Small Songs Books, 500 copies of "How God Speaks," 1,000 copies of "Preach The Word -2," and several local tracts were distributed freely during the seminar.

We express our sincere appreciation for your partnership and support, which contributed significantly to the success of this seminar. May the Lord continue to bless our collaborative work in Christ Jesus' name, amen.

BVBIN DEGREE PROGRAM CONTINUES: Third Set

By God's grace, the third cohort of BVBIN degree students successfully completed their second class of the two-year sandwich program from April 8th to 19th, 2024, at the BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN campus.

Brother Isaac Olaniyan led the first week's instruction on Advanced Hermeneutics-1, while Brother Makinde Ebens handled Advanced Homiletics-1 in the second week. Meals were provided to the students daily throughout the program.

Six students participated in the two weeks class: Brother Gideon Iluman (Rivers State), Brother Umoh Sunday (Lagos State), Brother Eniafe Olukayode (BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN), Brother Jacob Udeme (Lagos), Brother Akilapa Oluwatimileyin (BVBIN-Ondo), and Brother Ojo Ebenezer Olugbenga (BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN).

The next session will be held from August 12th to 23rd, 2024, Lord willing. Brother Chad Wagner is expected to teach Greek-1, and Brother Ayobami Akanji will lead the Congregational Development-1 course.

This two-week program costs approximately $150 (N175,000). We humbly request your financial assistance to continue equipping God's ministers in Nigeria and surrounding nations.

Bro. Ogor Joseph is presently one of our year -2- students. Gained admission into the ministerial department of the BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN in January 2020. Born on March 2002 at Obudu, Cross River State. Became a member of the Lord 's church in year 2018. His mission is to be well equipped in the word of God in other to help others know the truth .

FELELE-RAB AND IGBO-OLOYIN OUTREACH

The three days mass evangelism outreach of March 01-03 and March 08-10 at Felele-Rab and Igbo-Oloyin,Ibadan was blessed with three conversions and two restoration.

Seven of BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan students,three instructors and two WBSFUW plus other brethren from sisters congregation in U.I. (University of Ibadan)  and Apete participated in the spiritual exercise in Igbo-Oloyin,Ibadan.

WEEKEND EVANGELISM OUTREACH

The students and staff of the BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan actively participated in weekend evangelism in 9 different centers in Oyo,Osun,Ogun,Lagos and Kwara states in this month of March.

The Lord crowned our joint effort at Asejire-Osun state , Lagos and Butubutu village-Ibadan with seven converts.

THIRD SEMESTERS CLASSES CONTINUE

This semester continue as scheduled despite the tension in our country,Nigeria due to the high cost of living.

Our able instructors continue putting on their best in lecturing and instructing the students.

The instructors for this third semester are; Bro Isaac Olaniyan,Bro. Eniafe Olukayode, Bro. Makinde John, Bro Samuel Effiong, Bro Durojaiye Odeyemi, Bro. Israel Tajomavwo and myself, Bro Makinde Ebens while sister Oyenuga Esther and Bro Folorunsho Richard continue serving as our computer operators.

This semester classes commenced on February 19 and shall come to conclusion, Lord’s willing on April 12,2024.

We have twenty-three students in our Diploma year-1 program, while Advanced Diploma (Year-2) program have eight students.

Bro. Afolabi Emmanuel Olajide is one of our year-1 students admitted into the ministerial department of BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan in year 2022.

A native of Ipetumodu in Osun state,born on July 07 1997 at Moro,Osun state. He became a member of the Lord’s church in April 8th , 2017. His mission after training is to become one of the seasoned ministers of God in the Western states of Nigeria.

Rivers State Nigeria reports many baptisms

1ST QUARTER, 2024 REPORT FROM BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA

Bear Valley Bible Institute in Rivers State Nigeria started very well in the year 2024.   In the month of January, 2024 we sent out our students to various congregations in Rivers State and beyond for practical field work which is known in our transcript as “campaign”. When we sent out information about the field work to the congregations in our area, very many congregations in Port Harcourt City and various communities in Rivers State requested that we should send students to them. The high demands for our students were very encouraging and that made us to know that Bear Valley Institute is highly accepted in our area.

The reports we got from the field work is amazing.  We gathered that our students baptized 29 persons, restored 11 backsliders, and taught Bible classes to men, women, youths and children. They preached sermons that edified many brethren. Indeed, the students’ campaign in the month of January, 2024 contributed much to the growth of the church in our area. We are happy that the money American brethren are sending quarterly to the school is bringing positive results.

LECTURES ARE ONGOING IN OUR TWO CENTERS

At the end of field work, we resumed lectures in our two centers and God willing, lectures will continue till the end of December 2024.

ANOTHER SET OF 19 STUDENTS WILL BE DUE FOR GRADUATION AT THE END OF SECOND QUARTER OF 2024   

From our record, another set of 19 students will complete the 48 courses and will be due for graduation at the end of 2nd quarter, 2024. As soon as the transcripts are ready, we shall send them to Chad Wagner for verification and approval. If approved, it will be our second time to graduate students from our two centers which started in 2019.

GRADUATES OF BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTES RIVERS STATE NIGERIA ARE DOING GREAT WORKS IN THE GOSPEL FIELDS AS GOSPEL PREACHERS

We are glad to report that the efforts and money spent in the training of our past students are not in vain. Many of our graduates have been given appointments to work as preachers in many congregations in Port Harcourt and other communities in Rivers State, Nigeria. We are very happy because they are doing well in the congregations where they are working. It is worthy of note that 16 out of the 34 graduates of our school are already gospel preachers in various congregations while they were our students. After the graduation on July, 29th 2023, 10 among them have been given appointments as gospel preachers in various congregations in our area and beyond.

BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE RIVERS STATE NIGERIA WILL HOST ONE DAY INTENSIVE LECTURESHIP IN OMOKU RIVERS STATE NIGERIA ON MARCH 30TH 2024

With the aim to create more awareness about our school and to get more    students to enroll in Omoku Center, we have invited many congregations in the area for a day intensive lectureship on 30th March, 2024. The theme of the proposed lectureship is: “Churches of Christ in the 21st century: Challenges and prospects” .We will give a detail report of the proposed lectureship in our next quarterly report.

 CONCLUSION

 We are grateful to God who has given us the strength to work for him and we are also grateful to our sponsors in the United States of America for their financial and moral supports. All the efforts are getting great results.

Report Of Bear Valley Bible Institute Weekend School, Ondo State (January - March, 2024).

Dear brethren,

I ascribe all glory, honour and Majesty back to Our God in heaven above for His renewable blessings every day for His Children all over the world. We are forever grateful to the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado for their support and love over the years! The Eldership with all the brethren at Bear Valley are in our hearts and prayers always for this great Spiritual sacrifice toward build lasting legacy for generations to come in Ondo State! I truly appreciate your love and vision.

Evangelism: First quarter of 2024 is very interesting and important to us here in Ondo State! We were able through the help of God to have baptized a pastor in a denominational Church who have decided to follow Jesus' word and His Church! All glory be to God Almighty, Amen. His name is Taiwo Adepetun. l have encouraged him to enroll with Bear Valley Bible Institute, Ondo center! He is now a student of the School. 

Today been 30th March, 2024, The School in Ondo City went out to preach the gospel again in Sabo Orimolade area in Ondo City with the hope of establishing the Lord's Church in that area! We had many prospects today! We are planning to go back again in order to organize three days Open Air preaching there! the people there were very receptive to the gospel of Christ!

In Akure center, We went to Ilu- abo again in Airport area in Akure! As l have reported last quarter, two of our new students are from that area! The Church there need more hands and we are ready to fill the gap! All the students and instructors were there to assist the Church in that area. We are grateful to be useful tools in the hands of God Almighty.

Classroom activities: In all the two centers classroom activities went as planned!

January 2024 - Brother Victor Fasonu taught the book of Revelation, while Brother Godwin Emmanuel taught Old Testament - 5 minor prophets in Akure center.

February, 2024 - Brother Rowland taught 1& 2 Thessalonians in Ondo center while Brother Oke taught Hebrews in Akure center.

March, 2024 - Brother Oke taught Hebrews in Ondo center, while Brother Rowland taught 1 & 2 Thessalonians in Akure center.

As a school, we are happy that our students are in their third year of study! Our God will see them through, Amen.

Brother Philip Iwere is a student of the school at Akure study center! He is 65 years old. He is married with Children in the Lord! He is very matured and courageous student of the Bible! He is happy learning the word of God. He very active in the Classroom and a loving personality among the students! The School is lucky to have him as a student. He is one of the faithful member of the Lord's Church at No, 13 Leo Street, Akure. After graduation, he is willing to preach the undiluted gospel of Christ. 

Financial Report: As a School, we have received support for our work in the School from January to March, 2024!  We want to thank Bear Valley Bible Institute, Denver for their support!

Miscellaneous: For now, we are grateful for the provision of our present needs! We are very happy! 

Beloved brethren, as a school in Ondo State! We are committed toward the growth and development of the school. Once again thank you for your love and support again and again! We know opportunity to make greater exploits doesn't come easy! We are determined in our resolution to remain a pacesetter.

Baptisms in Ikorodu, Nigeria

Bear Valley Bible Institute- Nigeria (Ikorodu Study Centre)

 We are grateful to God for sustaining our lives. The students and staffs of BVBIN Ikorodu appreciate you all. We send greetings to BVBIN Management. God bless you all.

1. In Ikorodu centre, we have 20 students. All are regular and punctual in the class.

2. We have three instructors to handle the subjects. They are very effective and punctual in the class.

3. The Lectures we studied from January to March were:

a. Jan- Personal Evangelism. It was handle by bro Okoro Chinyere

b. Feb- Pastoral Epistles. It was handled by bro Noel Brain Otuwho

c. March- Homiletics. It was handled by bro Olufemi Adewuyi.

4. On the first Sunday of March, the students and the staffs of BVBIN IKORODU assisted Ori-Okuta in Open Air Lecture

5. One of our Student by the name Isaac Ukpon baptized a husband and the wife through personal evangelism. That brings to us five baptism within three months.

6. At the end of March, we went out for Evangelism both the instructors and students. We had 3 baptisms.

7. We plan for internal lectureship on 1st April, 2024.

Theme: know the will of God for your Life.

We are expecting 150 participants.

 We remain grateful to God for your support which enable us to know the scripture better. Which also gives us the boldness to speak with denominational Pastor.
