Uganda school continues classes

Greetings brethren.

With much joy, I take this opportunity to thank God for protection and guidance in each and everything we are doing. We thank Him most for the love and providence during this time of Corona. Our country is fully lifted from the lockdown issues.

I send you all the love and greetings from the students and teachers here at the Bear Valley school in Kampala. Special greetings from my family, especially my wife who has not been feeling well for a couple of weeks, but we have some hopes of her getting better soon.

The school was able to commence with studies on January 17. This is our fourth quarter. The students were able to come back although two of them were not able to report back. We currently have ten students and they are all doing well.

The first course taught by brother Muhyana was completed and Christopher is in for the second course unit.

Upon our arrival at school, through the evangelism our students were doing around the communities of the school, two souls were added to the church in the first week. The congregation is being established and we come to you asking for prayers that this congregation may grow.

More efforts of evangelism were being put in when our students were home during holidays. One man is calling us to go and meet him for baptism after studying with one of our students.

Another new development was that a congregation was planted and one of our students has been there working hand in hand in preaching with the preacher who they established that congregation with. This is a great achievement that the work is being done and our students are active.

May the almighty God bless you all!

Until all have heard,

Raymond

Uganda School presses on

Dear Brethren:

By all the mercies and grace that comes from the most high, I take this opportunity to bring you the sincere greetings from the students at Bear Vailley Institute in Uganda.

Brethren we can not stop thanking God for the protection he is giving us as his children. Uganda is passing through a lot of trouble. Recently in the past month our city was blasted by two bombs which claimed a lot of innocent lives. We are happy to say that no members of the Lord's church were hurt in this. We say all the glory goes back to Him.

Since the school started on November 1, it has been going on very well. We have had two instructors finish teaching their courses and now I am teaching the book of Job. Comparing their progress to previous quarters, the students seem to be increasing in the knowledge of the word of God. We will not cease to ask for your prayers for these men while at school. Please also pray for their families.

I would love to report to you that through the evangelism done by these men while in school, we are having prospects worship with us. Last sunday we had seven people attend with us and more still promise to come. Please pray for the church here that even if the school changes location, the church should remain here.

Although we have had some success, challenges are also part of man's daily life. We have been having a challenge of water. We take days struggling to get some clean water. And with the city settings, it is a great challenge, but we are able to relate with people and through that, we get help. Because of this challenge of water we had five students become sick because of drinking bad water. God is good and they are recovering slowly but steady.

Continue to pray that we may pass through this Christmas season because here in Uganda it comes with a lot of challenges.

May the Almighty God bless you.

Until all have heard,

Raymond

The Lord is not locked down in Uganda

Brethren,

Grace to you and peace from our father and lord Jesus Christ be with you. I thank God always and making mention of you in prayers because of the love you have for the work and the commitment that is beyond imagination, travelling this world for the noble cause of winning souls. And I pray that your fellowship of your faith with us and those who are to be added to the Lord's church become more and more effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake. Amen.

The lockdown has affected Uganda and the entire household of the lord. But to mention, the first lockdown at the congregation where I worship, we were able to record 30 baptisms. During this lockdown we have recorded 19 souls.

On the side of students to those who are able to share with me their work . They have reported 22 baptisms, making it clear that the Lord's work is not locked. Continue praying for the work here and the students wherever they are , pray for Uganda and our leaders.

From rumors', it has been said that schools will open soon, we are also prepared to begin. All students are set for this. We are told that there will be mass vaccination for all students and teachers before schools begin. The anticipation was mid this month but we are still waiting to hear the call for that.

We continue pray that may the world be healed and that peace may prevail.

Be blessed in the lord

Until all have heard

Please pray for Uganda

The words you have heard me speak among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Brethren, greetings in the name of our dear lords Jesus Christ and Savior.

Uganda is coming to the month (May) whereby our president is going to be inaugurated and to take up his other five years term in leading this nation. Pray for our nation that peace may prevail. Where peace is, the gospel of our lord will be preached, and lives saved. This month has not been easy.

We have had three students sick and hospitalized, two of them have been having their children sick and on life supporting machines, other two lost family members. But all in all we thank God because two of the men were able to have babies last week. It was great news to them and these school too.

The school was able to secure Identity cards for the students. I remember mentioning this on the last month's report. It has been a challenge to them whenever they could go outside to knock doors but we that God this has been worked on.

Normal classes closed last week, we are now taking short courses. This week and the coming one, we will have covered them. We are breaking off on 7th May and report back to school early June for the third quarter. We thank God for the efforts put in by the instructors which efforts are built on a strong foundation of men and women at bear valley that God has chosen to serve him wholeheartedly.

May the almighty God continue to bless you as you support this noble cause of training preachers worldwide, considering Uganda to be part of this program. We pray that God may open for you ways of letting the situation troubling the world to calm down and you come over to see us here at bear valley bible institute Uganda.

Above all we continue asking God for strength on the side of students and courage and stability in their families as they take this two year journey.

Until all have heard

Doing well in Uganda

Brethren,

We thank God who is our Father and Lord for all he has done to make us his children and servant to serve in his kingdom. We bring you greetings from my family especially my boy Collins who is seating for his standard seven exams this coming Monday. He is asking for your prayers for his success.

The school in Kampala is going on very well and God is on our side. Two course units have so far been taught and I am here to teach he third course. I see some great improvement in their performance. Students who came from home and from different congregations, during their time home, were able to report 24 baptisms and three restorations. This shows how much these men were labouring doing Gods work.

They started right a way with evangelism around the school when they came back from home. They have a number of 78 people they have approached with the gospel but they have ten who are real prospects whom they study with time to time. We pray for them and the work.

We had had two students who got sick in the course of this month. But they are now fine. We have had another challenge of water scarcity. It has become a problem to us yet getting water from a stream, that is very much impossible. The people connected with serving the city with water doesn't give us a clear answer to why we are not getting water as we should.

We pray that God makes things well on the side of this pandemic such that we may see you brothers come and see the school.

May the love of God be with you.

Until all have heard,

Raymond

A new school in Uganda!

Brothers

Take this opportunity to bring you warm greetings from BVBI-Uganda and from my family. Its always my joy to write to you in connection to God's work here in Uganda and especially the new school.

The first quarter started on 2nd November 2020 and it has been a good time we have spend together with students and teachers while the students receive instructions from the bible. Much more, in this period of time we have been having to big occasions, that is the Christmas season and the election season here. We thank God we were able to go through all of them especially the elections that just ended a week ago.

Having started the quarter with 18 students, we ended the quarter with 17. One of our students had a family challenge and was able to go back home. We again thank God for our non teaching staff beginning from the Adiminstrator, the cooks and the quard, they have stood strong to make sure the school is being served in the right way. May God bless them.

We thank you our funders for the great work you are doing to help this school be .Beginning from where the school is located, the meals For students, their upkeep, the salary for employees both teaching and non teaching staff.

I can’t for get to mention the government that stood with me and allowed and helped me to begin the school though the situation was so so much alarming, but through much prayers we were able to begin and they continue to give us hope.

We have been able to record 215 people that our students have reached with the gospel, having planted a congregation that meets at school with one convert. In every venture, the beginning is always tiresome but with God we find ourselves having succeeded.

We are set to begin the second quarter on 1 March 2021. Pray for us, pray for our country Uganda that peace my prevail.

Be blessed

Until all have heard

A new school in Uganda!

It's always my joy to make known to you all the joy and what God has done in our lives since the school began on 2nd November 2020. The school started with the number of 18 students from the expected number of 20 students we had . This is a good start and we thank God for that.

It has been long since the plan of opening the school here in Uganda was set, all things available, but until the right time, it has come to its Genesis. The school is steadily progressing with this good number. We are seeking for your prayers day and night. However in the first week, we did experience some challenges of students getting sick five in number. we thank God they have greatly improved though some are still weak but attending classes and are on medication.

We are having a challenge of books since in each and every course, students need to hand in a term paper which is supposed to be well researched from vivid sources. On the day of the opening I was able to call all teachers who will be teaching different courses to come and see where the school is and let all the students know them at orientation day. men of God came and it was a fantastic day of opening.

The first course unit is already done which was taught by MUHYANA RAIMOND. He has been so good and students have appreciated him for the period of two weeks they have been together in class. he has retired home and brother Christopher has come to take them through HOW WE GOT THE BIBLE.

Students have started on very well and with zeal . Thanks goes to you brother Keith for all the struggle. may God bless you.

Be blessed

Until all have heard
